Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

Dear All,

Kindly note that I have a project with 500 activities and I assigned resources for it but I have a big problem:

I have resource R#1 18h/d and for example I assigned it to activity AB with budget unit = 100hrs this activity duration is 15days.

When I changed this duration to 18 days this budget units changed automatically to 120 hours which not correct/applicable at all I need to fix the budget unit to be 100hrs even I change the duration.

How can I do this by default way please by steps and kindly note that it is urgent?

I selected Activity Duration Type (on the General Tab) to “Fixed Units” and it worked.

In P6, the activity duration, resource quantity, and resource rate are always balanced. To fix the activity duration and the quantity (budget), then it is necessary to set Activity Duration Type (on the General Tab) to “Fixed Duration & Units” and let the rate change as needed. Good luck!
