Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Paul,

User seldom to check the display baseline bar match the original programme or not, especially if it is a large network.

Support your finding, not recommend any in-progress or completed project to be baseline

I strongly recommed against using Update Progress or the Apply Actuals function in P6 as these may change actual dates and unfortunately does not work exactly the same way as P3, SureTrak or MSP. This issue is all tied up with the Planned Dates which I would like to see removed from the software all toghether.

There is a technical article on my websites titled "Issues and Solutions facing Construction Contractors Implementing Primavera P6" which explains what happens, see slide 51.
