Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

P6 on Citrix or P6 Web Access

Hi,

Can anyone give me some opinions on this,
We have been evaluation on which application will we use in providing updates from a remote site to the database(P6).

Can you provide a comparison between P6 Web Access and P6 on Citrix.

Factors that we consider are:
Cost
Stability
Real-time access.


If anyone of you also can provide details how to make citrix running, please send me some info.

Only 15,000 activities can be opened at one time
Only "weekly" resource aggregations, NOT DAILY.

The above two restrictions prevent most of my clients from using it.

NO COST TO INSTALL EACH CLIENT!

Citrix

Need to teach the remote user all of P6. Huge installation, configuration, training and support costs.

IF the web client is not too small - go for it.
