Website Upgrade Incoming - we're working on a new look (and speed!) standby while we finalise the project

Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

PPlanet,

My company is planning on moving 15 standalone P6 licenses

onto a server.

We need the ability to access P6 remotely and also want the

ability to use the web interface to show performance.

Does anyone have any experience of doing this? Is a seperate

web license necessary?

Dear Oliver,
Yes u can check out files remotely.when u linked with p6 remotely,u actually linked to main server which enables u to do things u want but as Dieter said it again depends on rights u have authorised from the IT-Staff.

Hi Oliver
this is a question to your IT-staff.By standard, export/check-out goes to the local server - which is the Citrix-server. But this can be modified. Unfortunately I don’t know how to do it.

Hi Oliver
as the licence is kept on the server it is independent from direct or access via citrix.
When we upgraded from P5 to P6, some basic features of myPrimavera (or whatever name the web-based tool currently has) was included.

Oliver

I don’t think any new licence is need for using the web. We are about to upgrade stand alone P5 to Citrix enabled P6. This will give the option of accessing P6 from any company PC without it being installed locally.

Hope this helps

Imran,

If i misunderstood your post then,I think a seperate license is required to post project info via a website dashboard on P6.

Imran,

I think you can pay more for an un-named license, but i din’t think 15 planners could work on that license at the same time!

Dear Oliver,
You can access same license remotely. There is no need to buy a seperate License.
