You need to change the place where the log file is stored. Ever since Vista operating system came out, one cannot save user files in the C:\Program File\... directories. Good luck!
I have the same problem, I checked "log to file" option but whenever I schedule the project it says "Log file cannot be created: C:\Program Files\Primavera P3ec for Construction\Project Manager\SchedLog.txt".. Please help> Thanks

You should mark "create log-file".
"F9" --> Mark "Create..." --> click on the "..." to create that file --> schedule --> View log will be available.
