Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Morning all,

so i have my plan grouped by six different activity codes. A few of them are empy in a few activites. When I go to the ’Group and Sort’ tab. There is an option under group by options to ’Hide if empty’

When i tick the box and click on apply it does not hide the activity codes that are empty in teh group. It just comes up with the grouping saying ’No ’ instead of hiding that group.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Dave

Yes, You can hide them..within organise window..if ur check box has tick mark..even though ur empty activities codes comes. Just you remove the check box and organise.Again you tick the check box and organise and refresh data. Hope u will get it. Enjoy!

oh David, i have been in th same situation as you, so you have two choises :

-either export your project to P3.( just to print your program)
-or change your wbs ( whitch is not the best solution).
-just hope that P7 will fix it ;)

Hi David,

The option for "Hide if empty" is designed for WBS & not for Activity Codes.

You need to use WBS or you can assign all your unassign activities to Activity Codes ID. You cannot hide all unassign activites.

you have to set this option "hide if empty" to every level of your group. Most probably you checked it for the first one only
