Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

How to transfer/import excel data (Code and description) to activity code Value in P6.

I have about 5000+ itesm to be added as value for one of the activity codes.

Can you elaborate what is SDKU60 , refer to prim10191, I have done it one by one, so please if there is another way in doing much faster and save time please share.

you need Dictionary?.XLS from the Primavera Knowledge base. Loads any codes except wbs. you need P3 for that

That’s is one of many ways to importing code to the system.

Using SDK, API, Import/Export, Third Party integration tools are just few other ways to do what is original ask for.

Each solution of course is different, in terms of time / effort / cost.

I think that the only way to do what you are asking is to add the codes to the P3 dictionary, create a dummy job using one of those codes, and then import the P3 job into P6. All of the codes will be there (might need to be re-arranged). I have done this once before (I think...). Someone else please correct me if this is not right.
