Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Copy one column of a project to another??

I have two different project in P5.Now I want copy one complete column of one project to another project or i want to use the same column in both project .

Can anyone help me??

You wanted:

to copy UDF (user defined fields) of text UDF
from PROJECT 1,,, to project 2.

Answer:

No, u can’t do it in Primavera.
even global change can’t do at PROJECT LEVEL.

One:

learn the Primavera SDK or API
(if you have not heard of SDK or API) call up the Primavera for assistant.

Two:

column is not a code field.Its just a text field.How can it be displayed in common layout & used for other project also?

If the column is a code field then it should be possible if the activity code is set as either a global or EPS code.

Not knowing what type of data you wish to use could you provide more info?

It could be just a matter of ensuring that the column is displayed by slecting it in a common layout.

Give us a bit more to go on.
