Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Is there any function in P3e which automatically updates the progress of activities solely on where the data date is placed?

For example, if I were to drag the data date two weeks forward could P3e automatically start any activities that fell under that time period. And could it do this without extending any dates.

Cheers,

Mathew,

Run the "update progress" under tools menu, enter the desired date when prompted and then click run.
Hope this helps.

Hi Mathew,

I think you’re referring to Progress Spotlight where you can update your progress against you data date. Any activities highlighted by progress spotlight will be updated automatically without extending dates.

Hi Matthew,

U can use the "Schedule % complete" to show how much of the activity’s baseline duration has been completed so far (till the data date).

U can make a copy of the schedule that u work on and assign a baseline to it, then update the schedule as per ur data date and u’ll find the "Schedule % complete".

HTH.

Regards,
Karim
