Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear all,

Just to know if i’m using right columns to compare planned progress with actual progress. I select "Bl Activity % Complete" and " Activity % Complete".

I think it’s correct - by the explanation on "hint help" - but i’m in doubt becouse of explanation of "Bl Physical (Units / Duration) % Complete" that says:

"... The Physical (Units / Duration) percent complete reflects the actual progress made on activity’s work product so far ..."

Sorry, but i can’t understand this explanation by "hint help".

Do anyone have some comment about it?

Regards.

Marcio Eduardo

Amar,

I understand that Bl activity % Complete is how much activity must have progressed - until the actual data-date - based on baseline.

If it’s correct, i can use it like a planned progress and compare with "Activity % Complete".

Tell me if u agree.

Regards.

Marcio, there is one more thing to understand. That is Performance % Complete. Please try and understand. I have some tips. But I am experimenting. Let me share with you once I am sure. Thanks, Amar.

Marcio,

I too had same problem. When you change Activity % Complete, based % Completion type (Physical / Duration / Units), the appropriate % will be considered.

For eg, if an activity % Completion type is Physical when you enter Activity % Complete as 5%, Physical % = 5%,

But I am not able to understand how you have % Complete in Baseline.

Regards, Amar.
