Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I have read a part of Mr. Paul Harris Book where he mentioned that P3 can be linked to excel or access but needs ODBC Driver. When I have searched the Internet, there are a lot of ODBC drivers. Please somebody inform me what type of ODBC driver I need to install for me to link P3 to excel or access. Thank you very much!

I will move to your thread on P3 won’t run, your issue/(our as I had the same problems) on P3 WON’T WORK is RELEVANT TO ANY IN NEED TO INSTALL OBDC DRIVERS, they should be aware of the possible traps.

Best regards,
Rafael

Yes, u r absolutely right.

Also Rafael, those drivers are for Windows NT / 2000 only and not for Xp or for Vista.

If u install them on higher version, then it creates problem to your database.

Please check the version of the pervasive ODBC drivers before installation.

Plz advise.

Before installing new software always remember to backup your Data and System Files and/or a Full Backup. At minimum a registry backup.

Database setup is very tricky, avoid messing with them unless you backup and know what the software is doing to your system. This is the main reason I am against P6 as a solution for those not in need of entreprise Stuff.
