Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

We have a contract schedule that was issued in December. The dates cannot be altered. However, I want to print a copy of the December schedule, but with the Date Sight Line indicating today’s date. I can’t figure out how to move the line to today’s date without running the schedule and changing the early start/finish dates. Can someone please tell me how to do this? I am using Primavera P3. Thanks.

1. Click Data
2. Click Calendars...
3. Click Global Calendar
4. Click Standard...
5. Select a new date under Data Date
Close windows
Now your schedule has new sight line as per your new data date without any change in the schedule.

Not sure why, but when I go to copy the schedule it keeps telling me "Invalid Project Name".

Any ideas?

Hi Sam,

If it is only for printing, a turnaround for your problem may be:
(Make backups before !)
- Make a copy of your schedule,
- Set the copy as a target for your schedule.
- Update the data date of the current schedule
- In the bar chart, hide all the bars but the Target Bar.

Hope this helps
