(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Can not change duration in MSP

Hi buddies,

I have problem in changing duration in MSP. I converted P3 schedule to Ms Project using mpx function and adjust the schedule in Ms Project. However, most of tasks is zero duration (milestone) to revise it correctly, maybe some problems due to converting. Tried to go to Project\ Task information and choose Advance tab. Uncheck the function ’MARK TASK AS MILESTONE’, and change duration. Finally click OK but it does not change anything.

Could you help?

Hello Tommy,

I forgot to mention that you should choose "Fixed Units", but clear the "Effort Driven". It will work, I’ve already done this.

Thanks for your advices, but it does not resolve my problem. Tried many ways but still keep the duration at 0.

Maybe problems on the importing mpx.

Hello Tommy,

prior to what you already did, make sure to change your constraint with "As Soon As Possible", clear the "Effort driven", also check its relationship to the predecessor & successor. Then you can change your duration.
