Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I’ve just pushed the f9 key, moved the data date out expecting the non progressed activities to move out to the new date and sit on the right of the blue line but they haven’t moved!

What am I doing wrong? There’s got to be a check box I’m missing somewhere....

Cheers

Jason

I’ve been a bit dim, we’ve got sub projects and I thought that by scheduling the overall project it would move the data dates for all the subs...

Having now scheduled the subs all is happy!

possibly you are NOT viewing current bar (ES/EF)
but viewing baseline (T1ES/T1EF)?

It’s strange but one possible reason is the option that you choose to apply when scheduling activities.

Check this: instead of pressing F9 go to ’Tools’ --->> ’Schedule’ --->> ’Options’. Select the ’General’ tab under "When scheduling activities apply" select ’Progress Override’. Then schedule.

If you select ’Retained Logic’ it could create the kind of scenario that you presented.

When you choose Progress Override, P3 ignores the relationship (logic) and allow the activity to be rescheduled.

Please just check it out and let me have your feedback.
