Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear all, and P3e Oracles!!

Is there any way of stopping activities from jumping rows whilst I am updating my program (ie. Actualising Activities).
It would be handy if this would only happen when I F9.

Could try copying your start date to a UDF, then using this field as your sort criteria as it will be unaffected by your update.

Mario,
Thanks for the reply, I do need to sort the data using WBS and a Start Date (descending) for reason of comparison with hard copy progress reports. It would be useful if I could turn this function off once data has been sorted such that data does not ‘jump’ rows. However once the function is in fact turned off P3e seems to revert the order back to a default (so does not correspond with hard copy reports).
Any further help??

I suspect that in group and sort for the layout you are using you have grouped by WBS and sorted by a date type. Remove the sort criteria while you status.
