Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear all,

I’m working with planning and control in a oil company in Brazil.
My company works with P3e and my contractor works with P3.
Do u know if i’m going to have problems - like loose infomrations - during update using P3e to P3 convert and P3 to P3e convert?

Regards.

Marcio Eduardo

I suggest you have to test run it first for P3e-P3-P3e

I cannot see a great problem if your import and export setup is correct. Meaning the updating code, resource code, activity code, calenda, WBS.

P3e - P3 should be simple All information should be there
P3 - P3e require a bit of co-ordination between you and your sub becasue P3 only have limited activity and project code (and limited lenght as well) you have to do some global change to convert it to your master schedule
Regards
Alex

Basically, dont go there.

P3e has so many things which P3 doesnt.

You will spend massive amounts of time checking the results.
