Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Can anyone please help me with the OBDC drivers that will allow me to transfer data from P3 to MS Access. I believe that the driver required is a Pervasive driver named ’od32v204.exe’. If anyone just has this file could they email it to me at phibberd@monadel.com.au

I did test Btrieve 5.0 driver under Win XP and it works well without any particular problem.
Anyhow, speed of direct linking to the records especially for the projects with more than 40,000 records is not very fast but fine.

I use the pervasive ODBC drivers everyday. They take a little setting up, but it’s welll worth doing. I regularly update project spreadsheets/databases wth real time dates from my programmes. It means that all parties at all levels are working on the right tasks at the right time. It also enables me to keep the programme at a summary level whilst not losing sight of the detail. Bear with it. You’ll never look back.

I found a good way for this. Please go to the data direct web-site. WWW.datadirect.com
This has an ODBC driver and after installing it on your PC you can link directly to P3 tables using Datadirect Btrieve 5.0 *.dta.
I have checked that and works fine.

There is an article on my web site, but I have not tried with XP. There is also a lot of more detailed info on the Primavera web site at primavera.com.
