Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

To overcome create the spreadsheet, I usually create 2 dummy activities in P3, then export them in DBF format with selected fields.
Open DBF in Excel, do my edit and save it in DBF.
Then import.

Pay attention to save the file in DBIII format and not DBIV, otherwise P3 will not be able to read it.

Before to run the import You must have close the file in excel or again P3 will be not able to read it.

In Your excel file for each column insert these heading:
ACT Fill with Activity ID
TITLE Fill with Activity title (if You need)
OD Fill with Original duration

Example
ACT TITLE OD
A1000 Cut & fill 10
A1010 Stabiliz 8
Etc …

Then in excel select all the area and from the menu select “Insert->Name->Define” and give a name. You are making a database
Save the file in DBIII format

In P3 “Tools->Project Utilities->Import” write down the path, to Your file example “C:Projfile.dbf” and run it
