Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello

Not sure if this is the right forum but..

I just received a private message from Dynamic Scheduling asking for my participation in a survey for a software evaluation.

http://www.dynamicscheduling.net/index.php?action=survey

By the looks of it, the survey is an attempt to collect private information.

Just wanted to report it... and didn't know to whom.

Thanks

Thank you for the update.

Dear Friends,

Yes, we contacted the individual and raised our concerns over the collection of proviate data and offered to help with with the research.  It appears that they have send a message to a lot of users but rest assured that the Private Message system does NOT allow anyone to see anyone's email address etc.

We closed the account and asked them to contact us for help.  They have since opened another account, which has similarly been blocked.

Regards....PP Team

Hi Beatrice

You were right to be suspiscious - I got a similar PP private message allegedly from Loughborough University with an invitation to fill out the survey to assist in the development of a new piece of project control software.

My impressions of the questions were that they know at all nothing about project control.

I sent a reply saying I was not interested.

Obviously someone has got access to the list of members and has sent messages all round and maybe PP admin can trace the sender.

I will alert them to the problem.

Best regards

Mike Testro
