Nationwide General Contractor is currently seeking an experienced Project Scheduler for a turnkey power plant construction project in Los Angeles County. The project duration is expected to be 24 months.

Employer provides a comprehensive range of services from turnkey construction to retrofits, upgrades, repairs and maintenance of industrial plants and facilities.  The industrial Group specializes in power, chemical and water/waste-water treatment plants, refinery and oil and gas projects as well as structural steel erection.

 

This person will be primarily responsible for progress and schedule controls including: 

  • Creating the resource loaded project baseline schedule with the entire project team
  • Managing the Project Master Schedule with subprojects in P6
  • Tracking installed quantities and reporting earned value progress
  • Providing the Interface among the Engineer, the Owner, Subcontractors, and other related parties throughout the project
  • Performing Schedule Updates and presenting the progress and the schedule related issues to the Owner
  • Performing and Presenting CPM Delay Analysis

 

Requirements:

  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Self motivated and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work with deadlines and sense of urgency
  • Team Player, ability to interface with the entire project team, the client, the engineer, subcontractors, and corporate office personnel
  • 5+ years of experience in the Scheduling field, specifically in power plant construction
  • Minimum of 5 years of field construction experience including progress reporting and construction logic
  • Degree in Construction Management or an Engineering discipline is preferred
  • Excellent Primavera P6 Skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
