Senior Architect for Jaber Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah Hospital & Trauma Center, for the Kuwait Ministry of Health; The Jaber Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Hospital project is located in South Surra, Kuwait. The hospital is 1,120 beds; the total built up area is 270,000 square meters. The hospital provides a comprehensive range of medical services; comprises Diagnostic and Treatment services, Trauma Center and Casualty services, Outpatient services, Dental services, Ob/Gyn services, Inpatient Care services, VIP Suites for the Visiting Heads of States and also another wing for VIP Suites. Project Value: 1.05 Bn. USD
Responsibility included:
- Assists in the development of the design work; leads in the production of technical drawings and specifications; coordinates the related work of the other disciplines.
- Facilitate the timely exchange of information between all project team members; assume responsibility for coordination of all disciplines’ documents, and insuring that quality control procedures are enforced.
- Assume primary responsibility for the daily activities of the architectural project team and the progress of the work and for the technical quality of the Construction Documents (drawings and specifications).
- Mentor junior architectural staff assigned to the project

Onsite Senior Architect
Construction supervision for the Specialized Cardiac Hospital Center in
Kuwait - 152 Beds, 3 Operation Theater and 4 Catheterization labs.

Responsibility included:
- Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of architectural works and finishes.
- Review Contractor's staff qualifications and CV's to ensure that they are qualified for the Project.
- Review sub-contractors pre-qualifications and inspect their shop / factory where required.
- Review architectural materials to ensure that they are in accordance with the specifications.
- Review shop drawings to ensure that they are in accordance with the design and that they are coordinated with other disciplines on site. Receive feedback from the Site Engineer / Inspector or design office and incorporate their comments.
- Review method statements to ensure that the Contractor proposal is feasible and will achieve the intended purpose.
- Inspect deliveries / installed / constructed work to ensure that it is in accordance with the shop drawings and the specifications. Review checklists and issue inspection report.
- Monitor Contractor's submittals to local authorities and ensure that they are carried out in a timely manner in accordance with the contract documents.
- Prepare "Non-Conformance Report" when work is not in accordance with Contract Documents.
- Respond to Contractor's request for information to clarify ambiguities.
- Attend regular meetings with the Construction team, and the Client to report on progress and help resolve issues where they arise.
- Ensure that issues related to local codes, such as health, safety and environmental impact issues are complied with.
- Witness testing and performance of various systems. Where required, provide a snag list for outstanding minor work by the Contractor.
- Coordinate between Architectural and Services Engineers to ensure the smooth progress of the work on site.
- Take full charge of site office and perform accordingly in the absence of Resident Engineer.
