Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I set the Time Per Period Settings in the User Preference in Primavera (P6.2) to 10 hours a day from Monday to Thursday; and 8 hours on Friday which corresponds to the Workweek settings on the project calendar. when I calculate the schedule the durations give me inaccurate ES/EF dates.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Check ur admin preference settings and also, DEFAULT DURATION FOR NEW ACTIVITIES. (U can find this in general tab in admin preference window)

Both shud match with ur user preference settings.

To get a better idea, u may plz contact ANDREW DICK. He has written a beautiful paper on "selection of Calendars and the Admin & User Preferences associated with ‘Units/Time Period’.

U may ask for a copy from him

Cheers,
