Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I am Kazakhstan citizen, currently working as Planner/Scheduler for Tengizchevroil at Tengiz oil field in Kazakhstan. I am very interested in working overseas, did apply for many jobs in UK, USA and other countries posted in different job sites. They all ask if I am eligable to work in such and such countries or if I have work permit. My question is how I can be employed with Kazakhstan citizenship? Thanks for any help.

Hi Ravi,
I work in the U.K and a work permit as you,ve been told is a requirement to carry out work activities in the U.K. There are two practical ways of doing this. The first is you being sponsored by an employing company for a work permit. The other is going for the highly skilled migrant visa. I am on that visa as well. You do not need an employer to get that visa.If you can contact me on jdadzok@yahoo.com, I would give you the information needed to secure an hsmp visa to work in the u.k. I was lucky enough to be involved with Australia as well.I would send needed information on both countries when you respond.Cheers and good Luck in your search.

if u want to work in GCC countries, before applying for a job, u dont require a work permit visa.

In Australia, u need to have a Permanent residence Visa before applying for a job.

In most of other countries, u need to apply for a visa under high skilled migration program (HSMP visa).

Cheers,

Ravi
