(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

My project network has two phases, phase 1 and phase 2. Phase 1 has its own commissioning activity, which means no other activities can happen when this activity is planned to happen (simultanously). The network is structured in such away that phase two activities can happen simultanously with phase 1 as they can happen before (if time allows) or after phase 1 commissioning but not at the same time as phase 1’s commissioning activity (thus no logic connection to this activity). Having different calenders on commissioning and other will not work as one cannot know for sure when the commmissioning will take place due to any slippages in the network, calendars are not dynamic. Using resource leveling will not work either for the same reason. Hope I have explained this situation well enough. Any suggestions on this delima?

Excelent sugestion!

Do not know why I never thought of this? Yes it works well, thanks alot Vladimir. Sometimes the simplist things are overlooked.

What I have done so this process is not forgotten is added it as the only resource to level automatically after scheduling.

One of potential solutions:
1. Create some dummy resource A with 100 total quantity.
2. Assign 1 unit (or less but more than zero) of this resource to all activities except Commissioning activity.
3. Assign 100 units of this resource to Commissioning.
4. Level your project.

Inform me if the problem is solved.
