Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Primavera v 6.2 to 8.2 - WBS Summary Duration using Global Calender

Hi to all experts,

 

After migrated form Primavera v 6.2 to 8.2 i have problem wbs summary duration. I import file to latest version but when I choose global calendar default (ex 7 days or 6 days/week calander) wbs summary duration not changing in R8.2 but in V6.2 it works.

Kindly provide me asisstance to anyone know solution of this problem?

Hi Melvin, Latest P6 based the summary (if calendar is not the same for all activities under that WBS) from Project Calendar not from Default calendar. Here's from P6 Help, "if all the activities are not using the same calendar, then the values are calculated as follows:

  • If all the activities under the group band are in the same project, then rolled up duration and unit values are calculated using the project’s default calendar.
  • If all activities under the group band do not belong to the same project, then rolled up duration and unit values are calculated using the default global calendar."
