Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Can someone explain how MS Project 2003 calculates the start and finish dates for the activities scheduled to start before the status date, BUT HAVE NOT STARTED. When I tested this start and finish dates would still be before the status date and the predecessor relationship WAS IGNORED. For the activities that have started when a right option is selected remaining work is shown after the status date, which was correct.

Can this be explained and is it any way that an activity has not started can be “moved” after the status date?

Thanks,

Cannot help with the how, but if you go to Tools, Tracking, Update Project. Tick the reschedule uncompleted work, as long as your status date is correct the activities will adjust to the right of the status date - works for me
