Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I have a problem where numerous users are accessing files. Only ever one user can ever edit the project file which is accessed and the rest seem to only have read only which is a pain if someone opens the master programme as all the sub projects are read only.

Can this be changed to enable multiple users to change the project files and if so how is it done.

All other MS stuff does this so i would assume project does only I’m not familiar with it.

Thanks for the reply, I can’t believe MS project is this backward, I’m on desk top but can access the server where the files are stored.
