- Directed and managed all Quarries (drilling, blasting, loading and transporting the raw rock to earthworks and crushers) & Plants operations (2 Concrete Batch, 2 Subbase, 2 Asphalt Plants and 2 Crushers) with overall responsibilities for safety, production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities.
- Supervised dismantling of Asphalt Plants, Crushers and Subbase/CTB plants and installation of all at a further location along the project alignment.
- Oversaw the production planning, staffing, and day-to-day quarries & plants operations in a cost-effective manner.
- Prepared quarries and plants operations schedule and coordinated production activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications.
- Worked closely with construction departments to ensure material is suitable and on time for paving, earthwork and structural operations on site.
- Worked closely with Safety Department to ensure all employees work in a safe environment.
- Established, assigned and communicated job responsibilities, ensuring proper training is completed and documented.
- Conducted meetings as needed to discuss and coordinate quarry & plants operations.
- Performed troubleshooting to prevent problems with equipment or operations.
- Prepared reports as requested by project manager and board members regarding the daily, weekly and monthly operations of the quarries and plants.
- Ensured compliance with safety standards and regulations by participating in safety meetings and inspections of the work areas. Handled safety problems and employee relations problems as they arise.
- Strategically planned long-term goals for quarries & plants operations to meet anticipated production demands.
- Played a leading role in development and implementation of long term motorway quarries and plants operation plan.
- Assisted with the preparation of annual budgets and specifications on purchased equipment.
- Coordinated purchased material with quarries & plants department needs.
- Ensured all environmental compliance requirements pertaining to the quarries & plants are met and documented.
