Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Planning Partners,

When replying to a thread should the subject field be available?

In most cases it doesnt change at all.

Only when starting a new thread a subject (or title) should be entered.

Bye,

Ed

Bernard has a point,

But in those cases it would be handy to sort or filter on the changed "subject" field. Otherwise it normally is hard to re-read the thread.

Bye,

Ed

It is useful to change the subject line when a thread gets long and fragmented. Ie. if you are responding to a sub-topic of the thread or addressing a specific post within a thread.

My $.02

Good point. There is no significant need to be able to change this. You are right.
