Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear Asta users,

I don’t know whether you noticed, but I started an initiative to compare automatics resource levelling of different tools.

http://www.planningplanet.com/forums/planning-scheduling-programming-discussion/574396/comparison-resource-levelling-algorithms-di

Would anybody of you be interested to contribute to this initiative?

If yes, may be you can consider to run resource levelling on 25 sample schedules and post the results in the discussion?

The schedules, used for tests one can download here. (file == Selection of problems, used for comparison of PM tools.zip ==)

Note: when doing resource levelling, please instruct SW to disable activity splitting and avoid making any prioritisation. So, effectively the goal is to ask software to produce as shortest schedule as possible, without telling the tool on how to do it.

Regards.

Evgeny

I join Evgeny's request.

And would ask to disclose any advanced resource modeling capabilities unique of Asta.

Best Regard,

Rafael
