Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I tried to respond to Bill’s ASTA Power Project – Completely Failed thread, but completely failed as it has closed for replies (http://www.planningplanet.com/forum/forum_post.asp?fid=&Cat=1&Top=36690&...).

However, part of my extremely witty, informative and genius response included reference to Asta’s customer relationships. It is a pity you can’t see the magnificence of my response but here is that pertinent part…

Another example of their customer focus is a current one. Were you aware that the 2007 Primavera UK User Meeting is being held on 15 November in London (see http://www.primavera.com/ukusermeeting/index.asp for details)? The cost for the one day meeting is £175. The Asta Powerproject National User Forum 2007 is being held in Manchester on 8 November and in London on 28 November. The cost for the Asta meetings is zero (see http://www.astadev.com/news/events/nuf07/london_nuf.asp).

Best regards

David

ps. CLIVE… instead of shouting your responses you ignorant fool you can use bold or italic or even both ;-)

David,

It’s a shame that you couldn’t have got your post on the original thread, it would have been interesting to see how Bill would have responded to it. Probably by jumping up and down and frothing at the mouth, something he seemed to be doing quite a lot of already.

Having read the thread I can see why it was closed, Bill was becoming personally insulting and generally unpleasant because his rant was being refuted with facts and logic. It might have been better if the moderators had merely removed the offensive portions of his posts and allowed the discussion to continue, as I found it rather interesting and informative.

I can understand as well why Clive confused Bill with Charlie, as they share at least three remarkable traits in common.
1 - Neither of them appears to read the whole of the post that they respond to;
2 - They both have a remarkable capacity for self delusion (they think/say it so it must be right);
3 - They both take it personally when they are proved wrong and respond with insults and petty nastiness;
