Working in the home office, I provided cost control and subcontractor management support to the construction department of the home office.  During this period, in addition to cost control functions such as budget preparation and cost estimating, I also performed quantity surveying, preparing BoQ from measurements on site drawings to prepare applications for payments, Subcontractor management including drafting and award of subcontracts, and directly supervising several subcontracts for projects under execution.  Additionally, I reviewed and redacted technical requisitions to bring them more in line with contracting practices for international projects.   This increased TR’s international presence and exposure, especially in the Arabian Peninsula

Primary duties included:

„  Estimate man-hours and costs, both direct and indirect, based on quantities derived from bid drawings.

„  Development and estimating budgets for projects.

„  Drafting of subcontracts, development of selection process, and recommendation for award.

„  Review primary contract to ensure that subcontract correctly reflects scope of work, reducing possibility of cost variances.

„  Review Instructions to Bidders to ensure that bid estimates are accurate.

„  Drafting of frame contracts and standardization of company international subcontracting procedures.
