Subject matter expert for KSC in the cost estimating and analysis, earned value management, schedule management, and risk management elements of programs and projects. Responsible for supporting evaluations, including independent assessments, of Programs/Projects when required by policy or requested by the Center Director, the Program/Project Management Council, Center Management, the Program/Project managers or NASA HQ. Coordinates with and assists the NASA Independent Program Assessment Office on independent assessments of programs/projects.

Description:

Orion is NASA's next manned spacecraft.  It is a capsule similar to the Apollo spacecraft but is larger (crew of four).  It's first unmanned test flight is scheduled for 9/2014 atop a Delta IV Heavy booster.  Several years later the a second unmanned flight will occur atop NASA's new heavy lift launcher, the Space Launch System (SLS), think Saturn V but a bit larger.
