Website Upgrade Incoming - we're working on a new look (and speed!) standby while we finalise the project

Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Renz
Hi Renz
Graphisoft Flowline is a pure Line of Balance time chain chart but it can be used effectively in any construction process that is repetitive ie High Rise Blocks or Housing Estates.

A similar effect can eb achieved using PowerProject "task per line" mode.

In practice you place the location on the vertical Y axis and the time on the horizontal X axis and draw a line between the two points representing the tasks.

Using this technique it is possible to get a crtical path programme of about 2000 activities on 1 a3 sheet.

Excel will do it but you wont get a critical path.

Renz,
Firstly, when you place a post here you should not do the global spray and put the same thing everywhere.

The great majority of people on PP will be scanning all forums to see if there are any new posts.

On the subject of your question "Please do anybody know what a March Char is?".

The March Chart is also reffered to as a ’Time Chainage Diagram’

TILOS, is a software package that will do what you require, I have also seen the new beta version of Deltek Open Plan, where in they have a built in Time Chainage function.

My construction planner at this time builds all of his in excel.

So there you go.

Andy

P.S. Please remember - 1 question - 1 post. We’ll get to it.
