Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

The issue you have with User Defined fields is that when the field is created in a different database then it will have a different database Field ID (which is not seen by the userin P6) and in my experiance exporting a Layout form one database to another does not display the correct fields or no fields in the database that it is imported into.

If you export the data from each database to Excel you will see what I am driving at as the datbase Unique ID is displayed in line one and it will be different for each database, unless say you copied the database.
