Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

The problem that I am getting is that instead of getting the desired results, my activities are getting screwed up when I do this operation (Tools->Update Progress->Apply).

The desired results are those that are indicated in the Help option for this topic, explained here:

Apply: Click to update each applicable activity. For each activity in the update, the Project Management module sets dates to actual if they fall before the new data date, calculates actual duration and units, and calculates remaining durations for activities that are not finished as of the data date.

Note

You must have the Apply Actuals project security privilege to update progress.

It llooks like I don't have this security privilege, how can I find out about that? Would that be the only reason as to why my activities get screwed up when I shift the data date using Tools->Update Progress->Apply?
