Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Please help - I'd like to connect to the Oracle XE PMDB through an ODBC connection but I get the following errors:

1) Unspecified Error:

  • Source: Microsoft OLE Provider for ODBC Drivers
  • Description: [ATI] [OpenRDA ODBC] RDA Error; resource not available - connect error: da=PMSDK; Driver=PMSDK; Engine=PM;If=C:\temp\PMSDK.LOG; lo=terse; pg=1; pp=pubuser; pu=pubuser

 2) Error returned from Engine: VDB.connect; hResult=0x80040003 (PMSDK_E_INTERNALERR: internal driver error); EOIeSysError=Invalid return value from CreateAppVDB

I read this similar post http://www.planningplanet.com/forums/primavera-version-pm5-pm6/420284/pm... and followed the suggestion to create a new aliase.  I do not have access to the sourcecode so I must either figure out a solution outside their software or form a good idea of what is wrong and send them a request to fix it. A ODBC connection through Navisworks 2012 works.
