Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi....I have a standalone P6 installation (Windows-XP) and it was running ok until this morning. Our IT person did something today with it and now I am getting the "configure database message" when i type in my user name and pw which was admin/admin.

He is now unable to fix it and have tried various things and he does not seem to know what to do next.

Appreciate if someone can help me out (I am an end user and do not have much idea about SQL server or database configuration)....

Thanks for your help

Kris

Hi,

Make sure that Current Computer Work Group Name is the same as the Work Group Name during installation of P6.

Hope this will help.
