Yes you can create histogram using cost. You can use either Activity Usage Profile or Resource Usage Profile. Right click on the profile and select cost instead of hours and tick total.
It depends on what type of piping activities. Is it for fabrication, installation, welding, jointing, flange, screwed etc...? Or just installation including in-line items such as valves, instrument, support etc…only.
I suggest inquiring your estimator on how he arrived on the hours and cost.

You can assign Resource Curve on each resource. You can also use future buckets if you wish.
Dear sir
Thanks for your reply.
It is skid piping engineering man hours.
he is given this information to me .
ITB document mention over all duration of project is 10 months.
it is small project based .
i hvae produce s-curve for engg. procurement, construction,
i have man hours for engineering and cost for procurement and construction.
all skid starting at the same time , ss with different crews.
10 skids 10 crews will satrt the work at the same time.

For a start your approach is fine.
