Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

1-so it is the same as primavera 6.1 except the limitations of number of activities ?

2-does it need a database to run, or it is a standalone app like p3.

3- Primavera® Contractor Standard with 750 activities - $495 don’t you think it is too much

thanks

All Primavera apps including P3 use a database, unless your definition of a database is that it has to be SQL. (P3 can be server-based as a multi-user app, not only standalone. And standalone and server-based P3 installations both use Btrieve databases.)

Contractor is a single-user, single-project-at-a-time standalone app. It cannot by design connect directly to the P6 multi-user multi-project database. But it has the most seamless possible interface with that database. ("Send Project", etc.) It installs with the included MS SQL Server Express, the default P6 database.

Various other P6 Windows client functionality has also been disabled, but the fundamentals are there. Resulting in the simplest possible lower-level vehicle for complete compatibility. And that’s its main purpose, not as a P6 replacement.
