Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi all,

I have problems with P3e baselines.Whenever I tried to copy a file which was baselined to a new one, the old previous baseline didnt copy as I thought it should be.Instead, the baseline bar in the new file shifted follows the progress bar even though I have not re-schedule it yet i.e. both the data dates are still the same.What I did just copy the first file to a new file. Looking for any P3e experts to help me or provide /share problems/answers why this happens.

Thanks for the reply :). I will try to propose this to my company to use P6 if possible. At the moment , I always encountered this baseline problems/inconsistencies everytime!

This item is solved in P6, so you can copy BLs together with the project. During the call for copy there is a screen where you can select those BL to copy and those for not.

but why exporting baseline is not copied along with the project even in P6

This is solved in P6. In P5, baselines were not copied together with a project.
You have to ways: Upgrade to P6 or unlink ("Restore") the BL --> Copy project + BL --> create BL again out of this BL-project.
