Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Folks,

I have created a simple schedule which lasts for exactly 24 months. The original duration was a little longer because I had used the wrong calendar. I changed the dates to the correct duration AND now my At Complete Duration and Remaining Duration says 29 months instead of what is clearly 24 months.

This is highly annoying as I want to use MONTHS as the time increment.

Why does Primavera show the project as lasting 29 months when it is actually exactly 24 months long.

Thanks a lot,

Matt

Thanks a lot folks.

It was that simple. The default calendar was incorrect for the schedule.

Cheers,

Matt

Hi Matt,
Be sure that the default calender is the same project calender. Primavera use the default calender in rolling up the duration information regard less the project calender.
Hope this help,
Taher

Hi Matt,

Check your Hours per Time Period setting. Make sure it match to your calendar settings. Durations are calculated from the Hours per Time Period which can be set on Admin preference or User preference under Time Units Tab if “Allow users to specify the number of hours for each time period” is tick.

Hope this help,
Rodel
