Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I fail to understand why "Timescale" & "Filters" are listed separately for each of different bars. (View > Bars)

Or perhaps I am missing something ? In my opinion, a Filter & Timescale would be same for all the activities in a layout.

Any Pointers ?

Susan,

Timescale determines what time-phased aspect you want to show (i.e. plan, actual, remaining, baseline).

The filter determines under what conditions you want to show the selected time-phased aspect. For instance, the remain bar is green under normal conditions, but will show red when the activity is critical.

This mechanism offers great flexibility because it allows you to show the same type of information in various formats, articulating things like float, owner, etc. etc.
