Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Integrating and updating the Project activities

Guys,

i am integrating the activities into P6 and the field based activities are coming and Contractors, can you suggest that how i can update these. as i understand if we have the same WBS, we can then import the activities from them and update the integrated plan. Biggest fear is the update, is this need some more fine tuning. do we have to have the same activity codes nad user define codes etc.

In P6 you can also set up different layouts in the web & make them available for each user, thereby allowing them to see only relevant activities.

I look forward to utilising this functionality.

If you have P6, then the solution is to give all the field guys the Web Applications nad make them update their own activities.

An end to Import, Cut and Paste for ever!
