(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?
(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.
Hi everyone, i have the following problem with P3...in my excel control sheet the mecanica group show a execute of 4.68% and in P3 after the schedule process show 44%, having the activities the same values in both excel and P3.
The formulas in excel where revisated and are good, but in P3 when i was checking one by one the activities of the mecanica group and summarizing each subgroup i found that P3 make the follow...in some subgroups having the activities 0% in the percent Complete column...P3 show when i summarize the group, a value in the percent comple cell of the sumarized group, likewise if i do a change adding some value to one activitie of the mecanica group and summarize the group.
The files (Control sheet in excel and the Primavera Project files), was uploaded into mediafire server.

Its really strange that an activity with AS and AF having RD. As far i knew, p3 have one problem that it calculates the date with respect to the per cent completed, not with quantity remaining. For changing any calculation method we have to go to Autocost rules and change it. But i have never come across such problem.
I have been using P3 for more than 10yrs and finally a got a result which is impossible.
An activity with AS and AF, but PCT = 80% and RD = 9 !!!!
F9 does not correct the problem. However, if i type any value in PCT (not necessarily 100), P3 will correctly re-calc the PCT as 100% and and RD=0.
The strange thing is I do n ot how the activity can be 80% with RD, and has AS and AF in the first place!
Thought it could be an IMPORT malfunction, but when I tried to replicate the problem using the 2 screnarios below, P3 still did not produce that irregularity results.
Anyone come across this irregularity before?

in P3, go to Tools, Options, Summarization; from there you can choose your weighting factor;
don't be surprised if you found different results after calculations, again, it is because of consistency
As Justin mentioned, what you're getting as percent complete from the summarized group is based on duration.
When i made a resource loading report based on cost from your Primavera file i fould out that the percent complete for "ESPECIALIDAD MECANICA" up to the 28th of April 2011 is 4.78% and not 4.68%

I reviewd your schedule and XL workings , what i found is that your XL waitage is based on COST , but in P3 will calculated the progress based on DURATION , so as per cost your progress is 4.68 % , but according to duration it is 44 % in P3,
