Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

A person has contacted me who has loaded P3 on an XP operating system and then loaded the Pervasive drivers and P3 stopped working. P3 and the Pervasive drivers have been removed but P3 will not install, the error message is:

> Error:[20]RECORD MANAGER INACTIVE
> Operation: [14] CREATE
> File:C\P3WIN\P3WORK\PRIMZFIL.p3

Any on any ideas on how to get P3 installed?

Hi Paul,

It happened with me 3-4 months before.

It might have happened as these pervasive drivers (Currnetly available in market) are for Windows 95/NT and NOT for Xp.

I have tried to do registry restore, system restore, reinstalling pervasive drivers with correct default options, removing all ODBC files manually from registry but to avail no solution for this.

My IT Engineers have finally reformatted the system.

[To check the date of these drivers, Go To -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> data Sources -> Drivers -> ODBC; It will show u something absurd date. In my case, it was showing 1/12/1800]
