Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Display WBS Description (not just ID) on bar or in log

I’m trying to figure out how to display the WBS description/title either on the bar or in the log record. I used the online help and can’t find what I’m looking for (and the search engine is not letting me see if anyone has already posted about this). Any ideas? Thanks!

Create a Custom Data Item under Data>Custom Data Items called WBSN with a length of 20 and a type of C.



Run the following Global Change:

THEN WBSN EQ WBST



Add WBSN (WBS Name) under Format>Bars>Modify>Label:



Now you can see the WBS descriptions in the bars.
