Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Guys,
Can you help me resolve this problem.
Importing Mpx file(1,962 activity IDs only) to Microsoft Project takes whole day long. I hate waiting!!! I am using Prmavera V5.0

Any body who knew the required processor or memory or best procedure? Please.....

Regards,
Gilbert

Gilbert,

Before you create your XER file, first open the schedule and run Administration / Purge Deletes. You XER file is probably full of unused information. Good luck!

your topic and your content confuse me.

1. topic: import an XER (from P5.0) into MS Project
The step is export P5 project into MS Project MPP format and open the MPP on MS project

2. content: import MPX to MS Project.
It is not P5 related. Just open the MPX on MS project directly rather import

btw, it is not P3 related, pleae post the question in "P3, P3e/c, Contractor" forum. Thanks in advance
