Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I’m new to P3 so please go gentle !
Is it possible to assign resources to summary bars?
Id like to be able to allocate some staff resources to the overall project rather than specific activities. Is this possible, i cant find a way to do it.

thanks in advance

David,

The easy way is to insert an activity and change the type to WBS instead of task and then schedule, there is no need for any links and this will be similar to the summary bar and you can assign resources to this activity with your lag and duration for each resource as normal.

Kind Regards
Mohamed

try and use a hammock activity. start-start to first activity in schedule, finish-finish to last activity in schedule. activity type: hammock. it is good practice to link the start and ends to milestones. Gün.
