Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

What happened to my toolbar?

Hi everyone... brand new here, but I’ve been using 3.1 since 1982... I’m an old-timer!!!

But I’ve never seen this happen before!

I was working on a small schedule (100 activities) and suddenly the toolbar disappeared from the top of the page.

I closed the project and re-opened it. I closed P3 and re-opened it. I restarted my computer. I ran Project Fix (pfxw.exe)... Nothing has worked.

It is doing this on all layouts. And not on any other projects.

Strange..... anyone have an answer for this?

Hi William.

I’m pretty sure you’ve got P3.INI file corrupted. It’s should be in you Windows directory (C:\Windows in most cases).
Open this file by Notepad and try to find string [Toolbar].
The lines should look like this:
[Toolbar]
ToolTop=21,20,74,76,77,74,79,74,115,116,74,57,74,22,
ToolTab=21,20,73,74.......

If it’s not - then your P3.INI has been corrupted.
I’m strongly recommend you to check your PC for viruses by
free Kaspersky Online scanner http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

Best regards,

Andrew

haha... Tried it.. it’s grayed out.

I think I have a corrupted file. I’m just going to create a new schedule, make new layouts and copy the activities in.

Probably only take an hour or so...

Thanks for the help.
